Manila, November 4 -— Malacanang clarified on Wednesday that there is no additional cash incentives for government workers approved by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Lorelei Fajardo said on Budget Secretary Rolando Andaya Jr. that the national government has no additional cash incentives for the 1.2 million government workers.

According to Undersecretary Fajardo, the announcement made by Albay Governor Joey Salceda, who is one of the economic advisers of President Arroyo, about a 14th month pay aside from the P15,000 cash gift is only for the employees of the provincial government of Albay and not for the entire national government employees.

”DBM Secretary Andaya clarified that there will be no additional cash incentives for government employees. The announcement made by Governor Salceda is only for the provincial government of Albay,” Usec. Fajardo also insisted.(PNA)
