2nd phase of P3-B Batangas Port Development Project completed

Cruz (left) explains the importance of the newly-completed second phase of the P3-billion Batangas Port Development Project (BPDP) in shoring up tourism and fostering inter-island trade in the country. The BPDB II will provide access to industrial cargo between the CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) area and the rest of the country as well as to serve as supplementary port to cater to cargoes that can no longer be accommodated at the Port of Manila. The project is part of the ìurban beltwayî under President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyoís medium-term public investment priority program and roll-on/roll (RO-RO) Strong Republic Nautical Highway (SRNH).
