BFAD conducts Consumer Welfare Empowerment Seminar in Region 2

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Oct. 27 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 and the Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) will be holding a one-day seminar on consumer welfare at the provincial health office this week.

Florida Tugangui, Food and Drugs Regulation officer for Nueva Vizcaya said the Consumer Welfare Month Empowerment Seminar will also highlight this year’s provincial awardees for the Search of Consumer Friendly Business/Service Awards.

This month’s consumer welfare month celebration theme: “Generic Drugs, Gawang Pinoy, Galing Pinoy! Tangkilikin Natin” was coined for the consumers who are experiencing some financial difficulty in the procurement of medicines.

Lectures on consumer issues and updates will also be presented by the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). (PNA) LAP/SCD/BME/mba
