PNP lauds PRO 1 for relief goods distribution to 'Pepeng' victims

MANILA, Oct. 22 — Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Jesus A. Verzosa lauded the Police Regional Office (PRO-1) for the distribution of relief goods to victims of typhoon "Pepeng" in several barangays in La Union last week.

“I commend the PRO-1, led by PRO 1 regional director chief superintendent Ramon V. Gatan, for their efforts in helping and providing assistance to those affected by this calamity,” said Verzosa.

The relief goods included canned goods, rice, used clothing, and other basic commodities which were handed out to 50 affected families in Barangay Pugo, Bauang on October 14, and to 100 families in Barangay Cabaritan Norte and Cabaritan Sur, Naguilian on October 15.

“We are doing everything we can in order to help our countrymen who were most affected by the flooding and the destruction caused by Pepeng, especially those who are in our area of concern,” said CSupt. Gatan.

The operations were supervised by the Deputy Chief of the Regional Police Community Relations Division, Police Superintendent Efren E Javier. (PNA)
