Social Security System (SSS) members wait to claim their calamity loan checks at the SSS main office along East Avenue in Diliman, Quezon City Thursday (Oct. 15, 2009). SSS has eased down loan requirements for members affected by tropical storm “Ondoy” and typhoon “Pepeng.” So far, the agency has approved the release of more than 27,000 checks with a total amount of P490.58 million.
