BELGRADE, Sept. 4 — A series of explosions killed six and wounded 13 people at the Prvi Partizan ammunition factory in the town of Uzice south of Belgrade overnight.

The resulting fire has been localized and there are no new explosions, said Deputy Interior Minister Predrag Maric.

Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac said it was difficult to determine the cause of the explosions at the moment and that investigators were already on the site.

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic has left for Uzice, where hundreds of city residents gathered at the entrance to the largest ammunition facility of the country. (PNA/Itar-Tass)
