Police nab nephew of convicted "Shabu Tiangge" operator for illegal possession firearms, drugs

MANILA, Aug. 21 –Police on Friday arrested a nephew of convicted "Shabu Tiangge" operator Amir Boratong for illegal possession of firearms and several grams of shabu during an anti-criminality campaign in Pasig City.

Supt. Antonio Yarra, Eastern Police District special operation chief, identified the suspect as Aliman Boratong also known as “Boy Negro” of Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Pasig City.

Report said while combined elements of Eastern Police District's intelligence division, special operation unit and Pasig City police were conducting anti-criminality drive along Amang Rodriguez Avenue in Brgy. Mangahan, Pasig City, Boy Negro was seen with a protruding butt of a cal. 45 pistol in his waist as he was about to enter his green Honda Civic car (WCH-588).

Police operatives immediately accosted Boratong. They recovered from him a cal. 45 pistol and its two magazines.

Yarra said that the suspect failed to present firearms license and permit to carry firearms outside his residence.

When the operatives searched Boratong’s vehicle, they recovered two transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and several paraphernalia at the passenger’s seat while another sachet of shabu was also recovered at the dashboard compartment of the car.

The sachets of the crystalline substance were taken to the PNP SOCO laboratory for examination. (PNA)
