PESO program at Bulacan State University

MALOLOS CITY, July 29 — Seeking jobs is now made easy for students of the Bulacan State University (BulSU) as job opportunities is now literally lurking in their own backyard.
This after a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by Gov. Joselito “Jon-Jon” Mendoza representing the Provincial Government of Bulacan, Director Nathaniel V. Lacambra of the Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office III (DOLE-RO III), Dr. Mariano De Jesus, BulSU president, and Alberto J. Valenzuela, the assigned director for BulSU PESO.
With the MOA, Bulacan State University is the first academic institution in the province to have its own school-based Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
Proponents of this initiative said that the school-based program will boost the services offered by provincial and municipal PESO including Labor Market Information (LMI) Service such job solicitation, referral and placement for local and overseas employment for students and newly graduates of the said university, as well as the implementation of its other core programs.
Gov. Mendoza said the BulSU PESO is also ready to provide counseling and pre-orientation seminar to students to guide them when applying for a job. (PNA) FFC/EG/ps
