Obama to hold press conference on Wednesday

WASHINGTON, July 18 — The White House announced Friday that U.S. President Barack Obama will have a prime-time press conference at 9 p.m. eastern time (9 a.m. in Manila, July 23) Wednesday.

The announcement was made through a message which the White House posted on its page on Twitter, a micro-blogging website.

Many Twitter users replied to the message.

It will be the president's fourth prime-time press conference since he was sworn in as president in January and his fifth White House press conference. (PNA/Xinhua) ALM
