Cagayan’s old churches

Made of bricks and mortar, they are one of the oldest in the region. Viewing these old churches, one can feel or have a glimpse of history. Among them are the Iguig Calvary Hills (topmost photo) in the town of Iguig, (left photos, top to bottom) Sts. Peter and Paul Metropolitan Cathedral in Tuguegarao City, St. Dominic de Guzman Parish in Barangay Cattagaman in Nuevo town, Ermita de San Jacinto in Tuguegarao City, (right photo, top to bottom) Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Piat in Piat town, St. Hyacinth Church in Tuguegarao City, and the St. James Parish in the town of Iguig.
