Gov't lending program generates 2.5M jobs

MANILA, July 8 — The government’s lending program for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) has lent some P305.57 billion to some 5.6 million beneficiaries since 2004 and in the process created 2.5 million jobs.

MANILA, July 8 — Prospects are bright that the stalled peace talks between the government and the National Democratic Front-Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (NDF-CPP-NPA) may resume soon after Malacanang lifted the suspension of the Joint Agreement on Safety and Immunity Guarantee (JASIG) effective July 17.

MANILA, July 8 — Five days after the telecommunication companies were mandated to extend the validity of mobile phone load credits, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued a memorandum circular Wednesday barring broadcast messages or text spam without the consent of the subscriber.
