Three killed in road mishap in Camarines Sur

LEGAZPI CITY, June 9 – At least three persons died and four others were wounded in a road accident on Monday in Ocampo town in Camarines Sur, a Philippine National Police (PNP) report said Monday.

Killed were Allan Bravante and Eugenio Vega of Ocampo town, and Marvin Clarde, 17 of Pili, in Camarines Sur.

Wounded were Analuna Aldao of Canaman, Monica Ortiales of Libmanan, Marc John Galon of Pili, and Mark Joseph Paz, of Ocampo, all in Camarines Sur.

The victims were rushed to the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) in Naga City where three of the seven passengers were declared dead on arrival while the rest were treated for injuries sustained.

A report said the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday along Fuentebella Highway in Barangay Moriones, Ocampo town.

The report said a head on collision between a tri-mobile being driven by Bravante and a JC Liner passenger bus occurred along the said highway.

Investigators said while negotiating the road, the tri-mobile carrying seven passengers overtook another vehicle but collided with the oncoming passenger bus. (PNA)
