KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 — Shell has launched a new international initiative to help drivers save fuel.

During the launch, Shell Fuel Save ambassador Fahrin Ahmad challenged tens of thousands of Malaysian drivers to join a race against six other countries, namely Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Singapore and Turkey.

Shell has set itself a new target and added a flavor of international competition.

The first 100,000 drivers from participating countries who complete the training will receive 3,000 BonusLink points.

Dato' Mohzani Abdul Wahab, managing director of Shell Malaysia Trading said: "Over the last two years, more people were trying to save fuel but recent research suggests that 25 percent of drivers in Malaysia still don't know how to."

"Today, we are setting out to show over 100,000 drivers how ten simple tips can help you to save up to 10 percent of fuel." (PNA/BERNAMA)
