Former President Cory leaving hospital on Thursday, says Noynoy

Manila,May 5 —Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III on Tuesday said that her mother, former President Corazon Aquino, is expected to be discharged from hospital on Thursday to continue her recovery at home.

Television personality Kristina Bernadette “Kris” Aquino also disclosed that their mother’s health condition had significantly improved a day after she underwent colon cancer operation at Makati Medical Center last Monday.

”Mom is good. She was able to sit up. We’’ attempt to stand and take a few stops tonight. She’s napping now. No longer feeling as cold as she did yesterday,” Kris Aquino added.

Kris also revealed that their mother underwent blood tests.

Meanwhile, Malacanang offered a mass at the Heroes Hall Tuesday 3 p.m. for the early recovery of Mrs. Aquino.(PNA)
