BEIJING, April 20 — JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the biggest U.S. banking groups, has survived the current financial crisis largely unscathed as the company announced better-than-expected first quarter results.

MANILA, April 19 — Swiss national Andreas Notter who escaped from his abductors after being held captive for 92 days will be flown to Switzerland from Davao City within 36 hours, an official of the Philippine National Red Cross said on Sunday during a news forum.
