PATTAYA, April 11 — Russian tourists were not hurt in actions of demonstrators in the Thai hotel Royal Cliff Resort, Russian Deputy Honorary Consul Viktor Kriventsov in Pattaya told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

All the Russian tourists staying in the hotel were informed by telephone about the situation. They were recommended to remain in hotel rooms.

A plan was prepared for evacuation of hotel guests in case of negative developments, he said.

According to the diplomat, more than 30 Russians stay at the hotel at present. All of them are safe. The situation in the media centre had no effect on their rest. Many even did not know what was happening.

There have been no complaints from compatriots. Some tourists called to find out why there were so many servicemen and policemen at streets, Kriventsov said.

It is a 'low tourist season" in Thailand at present. So, there are not many tourists, he noted.

Almost all the demonstrators have already left the hotel, according to the latest information. (PNA/Itar-Tass)
